In 1920, a unique book on birds appeared, which had a focus on a city park with an urban and natural focus, entitled: BIRDS OF SWOPE PARK.
RESULTS
The results of this study are the presentation of excerpts of the book, BIRDS OF SWOPE PARK, which illustrate and guide conservationists, historians, scientists, and geographers, regarding such concepts as ecological restoration, conservation biology, biogeography, ecology, environmental history, and natural history. Does a book about birds of a city park in Kansas City have any relevance to a park in Los Angeles? Secondly, does the state of Missouri and our state of California have any similarity?
